Full course description
Embark on a journey to become a qualified local Class B driver with a comprehensive two-week training program. This program encompasses essential components such as federally required theoretical instruction, safety protocols, vehicle inspections, and practical skills like truck maneuvering and backing. Upon successful completion of the online and in-person training, students will have the opportunity to undergo testing by a state-certified CDL examiner from Lake Sumter State College, with the testing fee included.

Lake Sumter State College offers small class sizes.
Classes are held at our Sumter campus located at 1423 County Road 526A, Sumterville, FL 33585. Class hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional online work required.
