Full course description

This program consists of 280 hours of classroom and field training instruction for the lineworker portion and 120 hours of CDL online and in-person training. 

Subjects include pole climbing and rigging, trucks and excavating equipment, safe work practices, basic electricity for line workers, and flagging.

CDL portion will cover ELDT theory training, pre-trip, backing up and maneuvering, and road skills. It also includes testing. 

Upon completing the program students will have their CDL Class A license, OSHA 10 construction safety and health training with a completion card. First Aid, CPR, and AED training with a 2-year certification, and flagging certification. 

All books and PPE gear will be provided during class. Students will need to purchase lineman boots and a hard hat light for night work. Students will wear long-sleeved shirts and loose-fitting jeans for the lineworker portion of the class. Students will also need a notebook, pen/pencil, and highlight for notetaking.

Before beginning the program, students must have their CDL Class A permit with airbrakes and DOT medical card.

This is payment one in a series of two payments. Total cost of the program is $8550.
